Clips from the Gill Deacon Show and so much more

HALLOWEEN UPDATE: Strombo interviewed Alice Cooper a few weeks ago. See the video here.

Here's some clips from the Gill Deacon Show on CBC:

Thanks for having us on the show Gill!

Right after the broadcast my mom called me up and said, "Son, I've illegally video recorded the show on my digital camera. There are two videos, and I'd like you to upload both of them to youtube and put them on your blog. Illegally."

Actually, she didn't say that. She said, "Looks like somebody needs a haircut!"

I just read into the rest.

I'd just also like to take another chance to thank Bruno and everybody at Cintas for hooking up the "I [paperclip] KIPLING" T-shirts. They've been a huge hit. They are available at your choice of fine retailers in the metro Kipling region. They fit well and are enjoyable to wear. Paul even wore one to Morocco! And Chesney Caswell wore hers to Disney World!

So that's about it for now.

Wow a paperclip tattoo!!

Gill Deacon Show is Oct 30, not Nov 30th

Woops, yep that's this monday, not like a month from now or something. If you're in Canada, CBC. If you're somewhere else in the world, I guess we'll have to wait for a Canuck to "illegally" upload it to the internet and send me the link or something. Maybe that will happen around Nov. 30th.

Have fun - Kyle

Shawn Sparks's Son Seamus Skates up a Storm

Shawn Sparks, "the camping stove guy", just sent me this gnarly vid of his son Seamus tearing up the skatepark:

Way to go Seamus! - Kyle

Fancypants

My bro Scotty and some strange man named Fiddy just upped the ante pretty hard in their attempt to hitchhike to all 50 states in 50 days:

In other news, Dom and I will be on the first ever Gill Deacon Show on CBC, nationwide in Canada this Monday Oct 30th at 11am, 2pm and 5am. (Not sure if that's 5am on the 30th, or the 31st. Also not sure if a single person on earth watches TV at 5am.) Anyhow, it was really nice of Gill to have Dom and I on her premiere show. I think it'll be a roaring success, but if for some reason it gets cancelled, please feel free to blame it on my wardrobe choice for the day. Also, if the show is a roaring success, please feel free to blame it on my wardrobe choice for the day.

See ya soon - Kyle

Venture on CBC wednesday Oct 25th 7:30pm across Canada

Long time, no bloggy. Really busy "write" now writing the book and finding ways to use hononyms in a subtle yet descriptive and fun way.

An all-star crew from Venture's Dreamer's and Schemers on CBC stalked Dom and I for a few months during the summer right up until the housewarming party in Kipling. The segment airs in Canada Wednesday Oct 25th at 7:30pm in all times zones, 'cept of course Newfoundland, which is 8pm. You too Labrador.

Here's a taste for ya:

My next project!

UPDATE: digg it!

Actually, I'm lying. It's not my next project at all. It's my brother Scotty's project. But Scotty and I lived at the same house for more than twenty years, have the same last name, the same parents, and we both love Basset Hounds, so in many ways, it kinda is my next project. Kinda. Sorry to lie just to get your attention. I hope the wolf doesn't eat me. But now you're reading this, and that's awesome! Anyhow, Scotty is about to embrark on what may potentially be the most radical hitchhike quest the world has ever known. It's called Hitch 50.

Website:
www.hitch50.com

Trailer:

Scotty is going to try to hitchhike to all 50 US State capitals in 50 consecutive days, or less. He has a GPS transmitter that links to a map on his website so you can see his current location in real time. It's really neat. And super.

At 10am on Tuesday Oct 10th he will arrive in Times Square and stick out his thumb. He doesn't have much of a plan after that, but thinks Albany and a clockwise tour of New England is a good idea. So, the thumb goes out at 10am this Tuesday in Times Square. If you wanna to be part of the action, drive on down to Times Square and pick him up!

Kyle

PS
Oh yeah, some guy named Fiddy is going with him too.

Job Prospects

Yet another spin around the sun. Pretty sweet article in the Toronto Star today. Can't say I think one red paperclip was about material gain and that I was the only one who benefited form the trades, but ultra kudos to Shauna Rempel for putting "Generation-insert-letter-here guy" on the page!
